Version 0.2.5 of the MATE Software Updates Applet has just been released!
The applet notifies you when software updates are available (using various back-ends like PackageKit, yumpdatesd, yum or apt-check) and spawns your software update client (like yumex, gnome-packagekit or update-manager).
This release brings the code base in sync with upcoming MATE 1.6 release. It now supports autotools for building and can automatically discover at build time which MATE version is in use.
The applet is now pending inclusion in the official Fedora repository (big thanks for this to Patrick Monnerat)!
